We are very proud of Honor, in Year 9, who has been very busy with her swim competitions recently.

You can read more about Honor’s amazing success in the article she has written below:

At the beginning of this month, I competed at the winter regionals. To qualify, you must go faster than the published qualifying times for each individual event. Then, you can enter in those races. If you are accepted, you get to compete them.

I qualified for two races, and was accepted into both. On the first day of regionals (Saturday 4th), I competed in the juniors (age 16 and under) 100m butterfly and finished in a time of 1:05.45 and proceeded to swim in the final and finished in 4th place. On the second day (Sunday 5th), I competed in the 50m butterfly and finished in a time of 28.95s. I came 3rd in the final and my new time has also put me 2nd in Britain for all girls born in 2009. Both times have qualified me for the winter nationals meet and I have been accepted into both. Winter nationals works in the same way.

I had to work hard in training to achieve this, and I'm proud of myself for being able to compete in the winter regionals in the 17 and under age group. I'm looking forward to winter nationals next month, and will continue to work hard in training."

Congratulations Honor on your wonderful achievements! We look forward to hearing more about the winter nationals very soon.
