Leyland Trucks Apprenticeship Opportunities for 22 Apprentices in 2022  

To apply, you will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (A*-C), including Maths, English and Science.

Assembly Operator Training Scheme (x12):  Working within a team to assemble our vehicles, you will work towards achieving a Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering qualification as part of the Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard.

Automotive Engineering Apprenticeship (x6):  Following a structured rotation through various assembly departments whilst studying towards Level 4 Engineering Qualification. As the apprenticeship develops you will expand your knowledge in areas such as electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repair.

Maintenance Apprenticeship (x2):  Learning how to maintain the equipment and facilities necessary to keep our site at peak condition, the apprentice will learn how to carry out both scheduled and none scheduled mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment and will work as part of a multifunctional maintenance team.

Applicants for the other 2 apprenticeship positions in Engineering will need a minimum of CCC at A-level/BTec (equivalent to 96 UCAS points) from an Engineering related qualification. They will also possess at least 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C (grade 4 or above), including Maths, English and a Science.  These apprenticeships are:

Design Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (x2):  Undertaking a structured rotation through various mechanical and electrical design functions, the apprentices will gain CAD skills and an insight into design areas including chassis, powertrain, cabs and electrical systems whilst working towards a degree in Engineering.
